I copied all .emlx files from ~/library/mail/[account]/Sent Messages.mbox/Messages from my backup disk to my boot disk and Rebuild. All OK.

Messages in Sent mailbox were in the index but content didn’t show. When I “Rebuild” Sent mailbox, everything up to SL install date gone.

Damn! My Sent mail box (local) has been corrupted when I installed Snow Leopard. 8 years of sent mail disappeared!
