My neighbor (a real handyman) showed me how easy it is to completely open that window by removing just 2 screws. Ha!

The window he entered through was one of those that open 2 ways, sideways and from the top. It was ajar at the top last night. We like air.

From the looks of it the burglar was just someone looking for an easy grab, probably broke the window by accident on exit.

Summary, there is just some money lost, and a broken window to be fixed in 48 hours cuz we’re leaving for a couple of days. Gonna be tough.

BTW, neither of us has this feeling of being violated because someone was in our house/room. They just took money.
